Lecture

The Lecture “Einführung in die Betriebswirtschaftslehre” (01-10-0000-vl)

is offered every wintersemester.

It is an introduction to business administration for students from other disciplines.

Course description:

In order to provide insights into the broad spectrum of business administration, central concepts from the various functional focuses of business administration are explained, important instruments are presented and a connection to current practical challenges of established larger companies and young start-ups is shown.

The main topics addressed include:

  • general basics of business administration (terms, legal forms, etc.) and instruments for structuring and solving single- and multi-level problems in business administration,
  • Overview of instruments of marketing,
  • Basics of production management (process optimization and inventory planning),
  • Elements of organizational design (structure and process) and personnel management,
  • Basics of financing and capital budgeting as well as
  • Basic knowledge in accounting and controlling.
